An Insight on the woman behind the lens

       My name is Rebecca Stenger.  I have a true passion for capturing life from behind the lens.  Everything from the birth of a new family member, to the small things such as a fancy new cupcake design in the kitchen (my 2nd passion).
        I've been photographing people and animals since I was a little girl.  I got the chance to take a course in high school for a black/white 35mm film class, and I fell deeper in love with the idea.  It didn't take me long to figure out just what I wanted to attend college for, and I found myself gradating with a BFA in Photography from Maine College of Art in the spring of 2006.
        I live in Sidney, Maine with my loving husband Jason, our daughter, and our little kitty River.  We just bought our dream home in December and are so happy to live in Sidney. I can't, at this time, fully do my dream job as a photographer, with the economy in the state that it is. I'm currently working in a State Office and doing sessions on weekends and holidays. 
        My true goal in life would be to own a grand studio in a barn in the middle of a field, and photograph families from all around the state of Maine.  Perhaps someday that dream will come true.
